Powerful is the very first word that comes to my mind when describing this book. I truly applaud author, Ciarra Leathers, for doing something that not too many people can do. She was brave enough to completely expose herself in efforts to connect with the reader. The author shares her testimony of her troubled life and how she has choosen to turn every negative situation into a lesson learned in order to be closer to God. This book is a true page turner. From the moment I received my copy of the book I literally could not put it down. I read the entire book in one day!!! After reading the book I had an immediate feeling of inspriation and motivation that took over me. I feel blessed to have read this book, and I for one am very happy that the author took the time and care that she did to put into this book. God bless Ciarra Leathers and every single person that reads this book.

Season of Singleness by Ciarra Leathers is absolutely a blessing! I really loved how the author used her story and relationship with Christ to be a blessing to others. Too often we go through things and keep them to ourselves when others can, and most often do, benefit from the lessons we learned. Being one that was raised without knowing who my biological father was, and I still don't know, and without having a strong, positive, and Christian male role-model to look up to, this book hit close to home. I thank God that my mother kept me in church and I was able to find a place of belonging, acceptance, and guidance there. Finding and developing my walk with Christ was key and a very important part of my upbringing. This author has amazingly detailed her many struggles on how she overcame the difficulties of accepting and dealing with the fact of not having a father present. Not only did the author detail this account of her life, that many others go through as well, but she also moved from the painful past to the promise of a future in telling the benefits of knowing Christ for yourself and accepting His genuine love, guidance, and many blessings. Learning how to overcome heartache, pain, detachment, and more are detailed in this book, but the joy, love, peace, and assurance of God's love, protection, and provision are lessons that I learned. This book will tremendously bless you and be a benefit not only if your father was not present, but also when all people of significance are not present or removed from your life. I applaud this author for allowing God to use her to be a blessing to others and see great things ahead for the people of God through her story, mission in life, and obedience to God in helping others.
